What is this site for?

We at SaveYourIndia.Org, and very likely you as well are unhappy with the sad state of affairs in India. It is high time that citizens take charge and do something about this. The Right to Information Act 2005 is a wonderful tool to jumpstart this process and empower people to take back their country. To make the RTI act effective, it is imperative that more people know about the act, more people file applications, and most importantly organize the obtained information for everyone to see. This website is precisely for that purpose.

What does this website provide?

• This website is a wiki. We hope we can organize information obtained by filling RTI applications.
• We will file RTI applications for you. You can sit in the comfort of your home, file an application online.

What can I do?

We are hoping to build a community of like-minded individuals seeking to bring forth positive change in India, using the provisions of the Right To Information Act. We need YOUR help. You can do the following:

• First, do underestimate the power of even the smallest of your contributions.
• Building a community is important. Let others know about this website and encourage them to do the same. E-mail your friends, blog about it, spread the word around.
• This website is a Wiki (like Wikipedia). Join this website. You can edit and help organize information.
• Create an RTI application online. It takes no more than 10 minutes. Create it online, and we will print it out, walk to the post office, mail the application for you.
• Remember, you just have to take 10 minutes to initiate an application. You do not have to ever return back to this site (we hope that is not the case though), but you still would have helped our cause.
• Offer suggestions and comments below. You can add comments below.
